LOTT Bible Camp had a dramatic start. For three summers camp was held at Succor Lake and was named Fair Haven Bible Camp. This property was not available for long term use; another location had to be found. In February of 1963 Dave Griffin and Glen Johnson snow shoed into Lake of the Trees and staked out a parcel of un-surveyed crown land for a summer camp site. Our first application was refused as the government agent involved was very antagonistic to the Gospel. In answer to prayer he was replaced shortly afterwards. We reapplied and this time we were accepted. That first summer the only permanent buildings were the campers' pit toilets; everything else was in tents. The following year several cabins were built and the following summer a dining hall and kitchen were erected...Whoa are we ever glad there are real toilets now!!
